Well, it was a day. We began great--working very diligently. Then, we met our 1st grade buddies! We read to them, showed them around our room and then completed a Venn diagram with them. After special, we worke in small groups to practice the math skills we have been learning. We played a rounding game, worked with me with Base-10 blocks, completed challenges on Mangahigh and found some mystery numbers. Instead of Read Aloud today, we worked with our Rubik's Cubes to solve The White Cross. A couple of people solved the entire challenge but those who didn't need to in order to solve the next challenge that we are going to be working on Monday. We performed our Reader's Theaters for each other in Reader 's Workshop and got caught up in Writer's Workshop. We did learn some editing marks though as we edited celebrity tweets.
